We’re a family of 4 sailing where the wind takes us and where our hearts desire.

We left Cape Town South Africa in December of 2020 not knowing what to expect in a world turned upside down, but we knew we needed a change.

We were all fairly young with our kids being 5 and 7 at the time but we were ready for an adventure. Our passage has taken us across the South Atlantic Ocean and up the Brazilian Coastline, through the Caribbean and the Bahamas and the East Coast of USA.

We’re currently sailing a boutique 48ft blue water monohull – Caribbean Soul an islander 48.

She has 3 cabins, 2 heads, a great living area inside and out and tricked out with a few nice gadgets to keep us happy when the weather doesn’t play fair.

She was designed by award winning designer Phil Southwell and launched in 1997. As any sailboat goes we’ve changed and customized as we could and and do regular maintenance to keep her floating, comfortable, safe and homely.

We live, work and play on her and she takes us where we need to go. Being a smaller space we take every opportunity we can to get outside and explore this beautiful world we call home.
